Colleen Rabbitt Smith is a community herbalist, horticulturist, mother, and land-steward.
She lives at the headwaters of the Courtois Creek with her family. Colleen is co-owner of Turtle Earth Botanical Sanctuary and Art Farm. She has a mission of connecting people to their plant allies through workshops, plant walks, and private herbal assessment. Colleen has a degree in horticulture. She studies herbal-ism in Silver city, New Mexico with clinical herbalists at Bear Creek Herbs. She also studied with Voyage Botanica.
She cherishes her growing herbal community and continues to make networks far and wide. Colleen continues herbal study with The Matthew Woods Institute. Colleen currently offers herbal products to a private co-op and her local community.
Being a steward of the land and wildcrafting sustainably and ethically is an important part of my calling.
It is important to respect plant communities, replant seeds, and help others start abundant gardens.
Colleen shares seeds, and plants with her clients to help start a new medicinal garden on their own land. Together we build a brighter future!
